WHAT DO WE EDIT?
At Premium Proofreading Services, your work will be edited to the highest professional standard by an experienced, qualified editor. We specialise in catering to ESL students because we are the ESL Essay Experts, but we edit a large variety of documents, including:
WHAT ARE OUR SERVICES?
Our editing services include both copy editing and proofreading. So what exactly does this entail? What is the difference between copy editing and proofreading? Basically, copy editing is more pro-active and objective than proofreading. It involves extensive scrutiny and improvement of sentence and paragraph structure, and also examines the continuity and flow of the subject matter. The actual content of your document remains unchanged, which is especially important when correcting student essays and legal documents. Proofreading is the last step of editing, comprising fixing errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation. It is important to note that with both copy editing and proofreading, the actual subject matter of the document is not modified.
Both proofreading and copy editing work hand-in-hand with one another. Together, these services provide you with a fully comprehensible, professional and entirely error-free document. It is almost impossible to proofread a document without applying some copy editing, and vice versa. This is why at Premium Proofreading Services we both copy edit and proofread all work to the highest standard, every time.
WHO USES OUR SERVICES?
Because we are an online company, our services are available to anyone, anywhere on the globe; however we are Australian-based, so all of our editing follows Australian guidelines and we edit documents using Australian English. Our services are used primarily by ESL students in Australia, but we are happy to edit for any students or businesses.
When we correct your documents, we refer to the Australian Macquarie Dictionary and, if necessary, the latest edition of the Style Manual for Authors and Editors (6th Edition). This ensures that your document is corrected in Australian English, in accordance with the procedures accepted in Australia today. Our editor enables Microsoft Word 'Track Changes', allowing her to send you the original document, a document showing all changes made, as well as of course the final, edited document. We have found that the document outlining errors is an invaluable tool for aiding the writing of our clients, especially those who speak English as a second language (ESL).
Most of our clients are tertiary students, and we know that they can be strapped for cash, so we strive to keep our rates low - but we never compromise on quality. We are proud to be able to offer extremely affordable rates, starting from just $3.00 per 400 words so that our student clients can achieve confidence and success with every paper they submit. Try our Instant Quote Calculator to check how much your project will cost, submit your document by uploading it or emailing it to us, and let us take care of the rest for you! For further information, please see Submitting your Document.
Once you accept our quote, you don't need to pay us until you receive your edited document back. All payment details will be on your invoice (we accept PayPal, credit card and direct deposit). You can pay via PayPal or credit card via this link. If you prefer to pay by bank transfer, please refer to your invoice for details.
What is Copy Editing?
Copy Editing looks at making a document more comprehensive and professional by correcting the general formatting, structure of sentences and the flow and continuity of paragraphs. A style guide may be adhered to. The actual content of the subject matter is not changed.
What is Proofreading?
Proofreading is the final step in completing your document. Errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation are fixed, and the overall document is again inspected. As with copy editing, the actual subject matter of the document remains unaltered.
